In the Lowell House Common Room last night, the Committee Against Military Intervention and the Harvard Student Union met and formed plans for joint action against the lend-lease bill.

Tudor Gardiner '40, 1L, leader of the Committee Against Military Intervention, set forth their views urging considerable amendments to the bill. David P. Bennett '42, president of the Student Union, demanded that the bill be defeated in its entirety.

Although the group considered a demonstration against the bill, they ultimately decided to distribute copies of H.R. 1776 among the students together with postcards to be sent to Senators urging its defeat, or, at least, its amendment. To distribute this material, they plan to set up booths in all the House Dining Halls, in the Union, and in Sever and Harvard Halls.

Earlier in the day the Student Union circulated a handbill throughout the College titled "Peace Emergency," which pointed out that public sentiment is swinging against the lend-lease bill.
