British Win; Italians Collapse

CAIRO--British Empire forces have swept to within 20 miles of Harar, second city of Ethiopia, after the "surprising collapse" of Italian resistance in rugged Marda Pass between Jigjiga and Harar, it was announced officially tonight.

The British forces are striking upon Harar in a determined drive to cut the vital Addis Ababa-Djihouti railroad.
