SKIERS SECOND IN SCHUSSVEREIN

Racing in the annual Schussverein race at Bear Mountain, in Hartlett, New Hampshire yesterday, the Harvard Varsity Ski team placed second out of a field of thirteen entrants, yielding first place to Dartmouth.

Peter Garrett, from the Law School, broke the course record over the mile and a quarter run to first place in the meet. His time was two minutes and five seconds. Wendell Cramm of the Olympic Ski team took second place, and Bob Meservey of Dartmouth placed third.

Frank King placed sixth in the field, and Del Ames finished seventh. Both of these men also finished with times less than the old course record.

Their exact positions unknown because placings beyond the first ton were not available last night, but finishing well up in the field, were Tom Winship and Fenn Ferner.
