Abandoning their plans for action against the Lend-Lease Bill, the Harvard Student Union will enter a new field when they go to the State House this morning to lobby for a measure providing for loans to students.
The party, under the direction of David P. Bennett '42, president of the Student Union, will leave from the Commuters Center at 10 o'clock. Although the group will consist mostly of commuters, because they will be most affected by the bill, any other interested member of the Collegeis cordially invited to join the delegation. Twelve students have already made plans to go.
Bennett will speak for the bill, which was proposed by the Massachusetts Youth Council to aid needy students. It will provide for a state fund to help needy students.
