LONDON -- Great Britain, cheering passage of the American Lend-Lease bill as a major blow to Hitler's hopes of victory, tonight revealed a huge program to speed up production of ships and munitions.
The Ministry of Labor announced a new order enabling quick mass transfers of skilled labor from one spot to another and at the same time turned over to the Admiralty control over all labor in British shipyards.
The new program is designed to keep Britain's war production space with the flow of arms and materials from the "arsenal of democracy" provided for in the U. S. Lend-Lease bill and to make Britain secure against Hitler's treatened "big attack" this spring.
