With Tom Lacey and Vern Miller still benched due to injuries, the grapplers are slated for a very close fight when they tackle a strong Princeton outfit at 3 o'clock this afternoon in the Indoor Athletic Building.
Several shifts have been made in the lineup which was used against Penn. Captain Ted Schoenberg has been moved down to the much-contested 121-pound position from his usual 128-pound spot, which will now be occupied by Jim Redmon. Ray Stone, who wrestled since he pinned his man in the Tufts meet last December, has been assigned to the 136-pound bracket.
In the 165-pound class, Dick Davidson has been replaced by Sophomore Johnny Page, a newcomer to the team. Although wrestling captain at Milton for two years, Page did not compete his Freshman year. He has only been out for the Varsity for two weeks, but has shown experience and strength.
Same as Before
The rest of the lineup will be the same as last week, with Dick Thomas and Lee Ackerman in the 145 and 155-pound spots, respectively, and Lee Sosmon and Tom Rogstad in the two upper berths.
The best bout of the afternoon should be in the 128-pound class, when Jim Redmon takes on Bob Eberle, the Princeton captain. Eberle, twice winner of the Easterns, just edged out Redmon last year, but Jim's style has improved considerably this season, and be should give the invader a run for his money.
Although the meet is by no means a closed affair, the Tigers have a slight edge, thanks to Crimson injuries. This is shown in comparison of scores. Princeton defeated Columbia 21 to 8 while Harvard downed Columbia 15 to 11. Both teams were whitewashed by the Quakers, but Princeton lost by a smaller margin.
