HODDERMEN FACE HARD FIGHT WITH UNUSUAL WILLIAMS SIX

Ayres, Willets, and Duane To Form Chief Spearhead

HARVARD  WILLIAMS Willetts, l.w.  r.w., Schmidt Ayres, c.  c., Kittredge Duane, r.w.  l.w., Brown Hulse, l.d.  r.d., Daly Gray, r.d.  l.d., Rice Fenn, g.  g., Hannock

The odds on the Varsity hockey team's picking up its first win of the season aren't particularly heartening for Crimson supporters, in spite of the fact that Williams, a member of the "Little Three," matches shots with the Hoddermen this afternoon at 4:30 o'clock in Williamstown.

The reason for the pessimism concerning this afternoon's encounter rests on world-shattering affairs which occurred early last month, when the Ephs, accorded little chance of presenting even a favorable exhibition against the mighty Yale puckmen, met the Elis at New Haven. To the amazement of everyone, they rammed home enough goals in the last period to wrest a 5 to 3 decision from the startled Blues, who apparently thought that a victory over Minnesota, Western champs, was practically fool proof insurance against troubled times back in the East.
