The Freshman hockey stars added another game to their winning list yesterday afternoon at Southborough when they captured a 3 to 2 victory from St. Mark's. Yesterday's game was the ninth game the Yardlings have won out of a possible ten.
The Yardlings were top dogs in the encounter, and because rough ice made long shots impossible, constantly took the action into the end zones. Baylies, St. Mark's goalie, had a full afternoon, but held the Freshmen to three tallies.
The first Crimson goal came in the first period when Johnny Burton snapped one in from in front of the cage after a pass out from Marc Beebe. Al Everts took a pass-out from Sandy Mac-Millan in the second period and gave the Yardlings a second score. St. Mark's then made their first.
The third period saw the last rally for the Yardlings when Taylor made a solo. St. Mark's second sink came just before the final whistle.
