To the Editor of the Crimson:
This morning's issue of the Crimson contains a report of the meeting last night under the auspices of the Harvard Liberal Union at which you state that I "told the meeting that they could count on the Supreme Court to free the accused Trotskyites." This statement is an error and an unfortunate one. What I said was that the Supreme Court could be expected to free the accused Trotskyites if innocent*. I also emphasized the importance of the employment of competent counsel for the defense in order that the record of the trial which would be the basis of an appeal to the Supreme Court might be accurate and complete.
