Today and tomorrow bring the last half of the U.T.'s high-pressure cram session for undernourished addicts. With machine-gun precision, four famous pictures will be dragged up from the libraries of the past and shown on the local screen. All this for the price of one ticket a day.

Pictures for today are "The Philadelphia Story" and "Mayerling," as curious a combination as could be found anywhere. The former is fairly recent and presents Jimmy Stewart and Katherine Hepburn as they put Main-Line society in its place. It is just as funny and good as Hollywood has always claimed. "Mayerling" is a Parisian importation with Charles Boyer and Danielle Darrieux as stars. As can well be imagined, theirs is a great love story, but the best feature of the movie is its superb musical score.

On Saturday there will be "Ruggles of Red Gap" and "Kitty Foyle." Ruggles is the English butler who showed Red Gap's uppercrust how to live, only to find he liked their way better. Charles Laughton, Charlie Ruggles and Mary Boland combined to make this a howling success several years ago and it should be every bit as amusing now. The companion-piece is Christopher Morley's tale of the trials of the white-collar girl. Its star is Ginger Rogers and her performance won her the Academy Award, but "Kitty Foyle" is still feminine fodder. Grab 'em while you can, they're going fast.
