LONDON--Reports from the Balkan countries indicated tonight that there was little danger of military action by Germany in that section immediately.
Military experts in Bucharest believed that the recent German troop movements were in preparation for a drive in the spring. There were, however, unconfirmed reports that German troops several days ago had entered Bulgaria and seized some mountain passes.
Other sources suggested that reports of Nazi occupation of Bulgaria are merely parts of a war of nerves. These sources said that Turkey promised to declare war on Germany if Nazi troops occupied Bulgaria and that Germany is aware of that pledge. They also said that military action in the area would not be feasible now because of weather conditions and the possibility of floods.
