700 Jews Reported Slain

NEW YORK--The New York Jewish Morning Journal, in a dispatch from London, reported tonight that 700 Jews are known to have been slain and 7000 wounded during the anti-Semitic killings which accompanied the Iron Guard rebellion in Rumania.

Jews trying to escape by boat form the Black Sea port of Constanza were said in the dispatch to have been fired on by German soldiers.

Though the Bulgarian and Jugoslav frontiers have been closed, about 2,000 of the Rumanian Jows escaped to those countries, it was added, and 10,000 were permitted to cross into Russia from Transylvania after promising they would return to Rumania when the disorders ended.

Of the 7,000 Jewish wounded about 7,000 were reported in serious condition.
