Those men dressed like mountain climbers who seemed to be trapped and trying to get out of the unfinished W.P.A. sewer project in front of the New Lecture Hall yesterday were only members of the Harvard Dramatic Club practicing for their spring play, "The Ascent of F6."
Directed by Richard Whittemore '40 in the proper technique of mountain climbing, five actors must be able to scale the 22-foot high stage platform representing the mountain peak, F6.
The rather green mountaineers, who were finally rescued from the ditch, were Leonard Kent '43, George Clay '43. Jervis McMechan '42. William Robinson '43, and Clarence Hurley '42.
