Appointment of Joseph F. Nee '38 of Dorchester as assistant Freshman football coach for the 1940 season was approved yesterday by the Committee on the Regulation of Athletic Sports, according to an announcement from William J. Bingham '16, Director of Athletics.

Nee has been head football mentor and master at Wooster School in Danbury, Connecticut for the past two years. He will be assistant to Clarence E. "Chief" Boston, whose appointment as head Freshman football coach to succeed Skip Stahley was announced about a month ago.

Crimson Great

Nee played on the Crimson Varsity three years and is rated by Dick Harlow as the best guard he has produced since coming to Cambridge. He has been unusually successful at Wooster turning out one of the best teams in the school's history, and will be put in charge of the Yardling linemen.

A third prominent young Harvard gridiron alumnus in the coaching game, and a close friend of Nee and Boston, is Alexander Kevorkian '38, whose promotion to the position of head football coach at University School in Cleveland, was announced recently.

Kevorkian was selected to fill the vacancy created when Boston resigned at University School to accept the Harvard post. It had been previously rumored that Kevorkian was slated to follow Boston to Cambridge as a line coach.
