Postmaster-General James A. Farley will be guest of honor at a special meeting of the Stamp Club March 28 commemorating the first issue of the Charles William Eliot stamp, it was announced yesterday by Max D. Gaebler, President of the club.

The stamp, which will be purple and of the three cent denomination, is one of a series of 35, honoring well-known educators. Presentation of special blocks of the issue will be made by Farley at a short ceremony in Eliot House at 11 o'clock in the morning.

Other Guests

Relatives of the ex-President, who will receive the gift, will be Charles William Eliot, 3rd, grandson, and the Reverend Dr. Samuel A. Eliot, Jr. '12, only surviving son. Other members of the Eliot family have been invited.

Additional guests will include Peter B. Tague, Postmaster of Boston; Patrick Conley, Assistant Postmaster in charge of mails, and a dozen representative postal authorities of the Boston district.

Plans for the affair, which have not been officially approved as yet, also call for a luncheon the same day at the Hotel Commander.
