NEW YORK--Seventeen members of the Christian Front pleaded not guilty today shortly after a federal grand jury indicted them on charges of conspiring to overthrow the government.
Judge Matthew T. Abruzzo, before whom they were arraigned, ordered them held for trial on March 6. All 17 had been held in lieu of bonds ranging from $10,000 to $50,000. After pleas had been entered for each, the balls were reduced to sums ranging from $5,000 to $20,000.
