Unbeaten Swimmers Triumph Over Navy 47-28 at Annapolis

Breastroker Waldron, Freestyler Cutler Spark Tankmen To Eighth Win

ANNAPOLIS, Md., Feb. 22--Scoring their season's eighth consecutive victory in dual meets, the powerful Harvard swimming forces overwhelmed an outclassed Navy squad 47 to 28 this afternoon in the Naval Academy pool.

Captain Eric Cutler paced the Crimson tankmen to their third consecutive league triumph with a double in the 220 and 440. His times were 2:14:8 and 4:56.5, the latter being a new pool record. Jim Curwen had to be content with a second behind speedy George Wiley of Navy in a 24 flat 50, but he came back to annex the 100 in 54.1, with Lonnie Stowell taking a third.

Al Waldron and Art Bosworth splashed to victory in the specialty events in the comparatively slow times of 2:39.4 and 1:46. Max Kraus tied for a second behind Waldron in the breastroke. Midshipman Harold Fisher took the dive with 103 points, but George Dana and Chet Sagenkahn copped the second and third places. Other Crimson seconds were taken by Frannie Powers in the 220 and Ed Hewitt in the 440.
