ABOARD U.S.S. MAYRANT AT SEA--President Roosevelt cruised toward the Carribbean and South Atlantic tonight, for an inspection tour of America's newly-acquired defense bases.
Mr. Roosevelt said he had only a rough outline of his itinerary in mind, and refused to reveal any details of his probable destination.
Guu crews were at their positions 24 hours day and charged depth bombs lay on racks of the destroyers. Service planes stood by to rush the President back to Washington should a crisis arise.
