Captain D. B. (Blind Dave) Stearns incapacity, a bad turn in the weather and a fifth columnist named Bill from Princeton combined Saturday morning to spell disaster for the Crimson's touch football team.
The final score was 49 to 23 against the previously invincible Cambridge Crushers, whose passing attack was smothered by the rain and left powerless by Stearus' indiscreetly involving himself in a small pregame celebration.
Hill, who played for the Crimson in place of its captain, persisted in running the wrong way whenever he got the ball. His persistence gave him the honor of being high scorer, with 21 safeties or 42 points.
