In an attempt to obtain University permission to allow participation in the National Youth Administration here, a committee of Freshmen was a made up last night by G. Robert Stange '41, acting president of the Student Union.
This group is to act as a nucleus for the movement until a larger corss-section of the College can be organized. It points out that the N Y A would be able to offer students larger loans and jobs than the University-run Student Employment Service.
The state administration of the N Y A, in an attempt to bring about its adoption at Harvard, has planned to conduct a series of speeches here outlining the workings and benefits of the plan.
