DRAMATIC CLUB GETS LOCKER ROOM, GYM, 7-FOOT CHANDELIER

Resting in the bottom of the Big Tree swimming pool (drained) is a locker room, a gymnasium, a country store complete with miles and miles of food boxes tacked to shelves, a seven foot chandelier, and sundry other items, newly acquired property of the Harvard Dramatic club.

When Joe E. Brown's "Elmer the Great" closed Saturday night in Boston, the producer, Richard Aldrich '25, sold all the sets to the Dramatic club for $50. It took three club members from 11 to 4 A.M. to move the four complete sets from the theatre to the pool. The value of these sets is estimated at $1500.

A few other odds and ends of scenery now in the pool are: the exterior of a Georgian style home; the interior of a Georgian style home; the interior of this home with an elaborate fire place; and a long stairway and balustrade.

When questioned, club officials stated that they hoped to find some use for a part of this scenery within the next decade.
