VICHY--The Petain government of France tonight was reported to have accepted Adolf Hitler's terms for a permanent peace treaty and agreed to join a "Pan-European bloc" sought by the Axis powers as a means of forcing Britain to end the war.
Hitler's terms were not disclosed, nor was there official confirmation of France's reported acceptance, but it was understood that the Fuehrer demanded that France divide control of her strategic African Possessions with Germany, Italy and Spain.
