ELEVEN HOPES FOR SUPPORT AT RALLY

Students to Gather in Front of Dillon At 4:45 O'clock in Mass Pep Rally

Harvard's third monater football rally in an many years will take place this afternoon in front of Dillon Field House at 4:45 o'clock. A procession will begin in the Yard shortly after 4 o'clock, headed by a handful of band-members and the cheerleaders, and will march through the Houses.

The procession will finally work out to Boylston Street from the Eliot House courtyard, cross Larz Anderson bridge, and stop in front of the Field House. The full band will be waiting for the students to arrive.

There will be three short speeches, given by Sherm Gray, president of the Undergraduate Athletic Council, Captain Joe Gardella, and Coach Dick Harlow. The entire program will not last more than 20 minutes, and in the event of rain, the assembly will be moved to Briggs Cage.

The last football pep rally was held before the Princeton game last fall and attracted a large crowd to cheer the team on. Time and again Dick Harlow has gone on record in favor of student demonstrations. It gave the a big boost before the Tigertown invasion last October and may be just what is needed to swing the balance against the Cadets tomorrow.

The only other rally at Harvard in the last decade was also held before a Princeton game. It took place two years ago, and the team went on to drub the Tigers 26 to 7 on Soldiers Field the following day. Last fall the heavily favored Tigers were glad to escape with a 9 to 7 win in a well played football game.
