Reds Bomb Sweden

STOCKHOLM--Eight bombers flew over the Swedish soaport town of Lulea today and dropped in the vicinity nine bombs, splinters of one of which were said to have determined it was of Russian origin.

Police said that one of the bombs struck the island of Kalla, lying to the south of the town, and eight others struck the ice of the Gulf of Bothnia. No one was injured.

Authorities declined to comment on the bombing, refusing to give an opinion whether the area was mistaken for Finnish territory because of a snow storm.
