The Varsity tennis team walked off with two easy victories over the weekend as they trimmed Williams 7 to 2 at Williamstown on Friday and blanked M. I. T. 9 to 0 on the Divinity Courts Saturday.
Against Williams the Crimson presented a makeshift lineup since Walt Muther and John Palfrey were absent, but won as they pleased with Dave Burt and Captain Gilkey leading the way. Jack Stewart and Bill Everts scored the other Crimson singles wins, while all the doubles matches were swept by the Barnabymen.
In the Tech contest, a Crimson squad studded with reserves won every match in straight sets, and only one of them was even a deuce affair. The Yardling tennis team drubbed Suffolk U. 7 to 2.
