DALLAS. Tex.--J. Curtis Sanford, director of the Cotton Bowl Association announced tonight that Clemson College had accepted a Cotton Bowl bid. subject to approval by officials of the Southern Conference.
Clemson would meet Boston College in the Cotton Bowl on New Year's Day. Clemson tied with Duke for the Southern Conference championship, with one no-conference defeat on its record, a 7 to 6 loss to Tulane. Duquesne today rejected the bowl bid.
