Coach Wes Fesler's Varsity five has not been idle during the last part of the Christmas vacation although it has not had any regular games. The Crimson cagers reported for practice Monday, and since then they have engaged in two sessions daily.
The Feslermen were victorious in three out of the five pre-vacation tilts, but they have yet to face competition as stern as they will meet later this season with the possible exception of Brown.
The Crimson courtmen are not only rather inexperienced, but also they will be forced to enter every game under a height disadvantage. In order to offset this deficiency Wes Fesler has been drilling the squad on a fast breaking attack for the past few days.
The Crimson open their 1939 schedule Saturday night when they tangle with the Jumbos of Tufts at Medford. The squad is in good condition with the exception of Fred Heckel, who is suffering from a few minor injuries.
