Inter-House hockey practice at the new Boston Skating Club rink began yesterday as more than 30 men turned out to receive the instruction of Varsity coaches Clark Hodder and "Skeets" Canterbury, who are helping out by giving pointers to the novices.
Practices will be held every Thursday afternoon during the examination period from 2 till 4 o'clock, Adolph Samborski '26, director of Intramural Athletics, announced yesterday, and the first games will be played on Monday, January 30.
The first two series of games will be played with two ten minute periods to each game, but starting February 6, each game will consist of two fifteen minute periods. There will be no overtimes in the House hockey games, Samborski announced, as a definite time schedule must be adhered to.
The games will be played in series of four in one day, and the schedule will be as follows: Monday, January 30, 2 to 5 o'clock: Winthrop vs. Eliot; Dudley vs. Kirkland; Lowell vs. Adams; Dunster vs. Leverett.
Friday, February 3 from 5 to 7:30 o'clock: Dudley vs. Winthrop; Leverett vs. Eliot; Kirkland vs. Lowell; Adams vs. Dunster. Monday, February 6: Eliot vs. Dudley; Lowell vs. Winthrop; Dunster vs. Kirkland; Leverett vs. Adams.
February 13: Winthrop vs. Dunster; Eliot vs. Lowell; Adams vs. Kirkland; Dudley vs. Leverett. February 20: Dunster vs. Eliot; Winthrop vs. Adams; Lowell vs. Dudley; Kirkland vs. Leverett.
February 27: Winthrop vs. Kirkland; Eliot vs. Adams; Leverett vs. Lowell; Dudley vs. Dunster. March 6: Kirkland vs. Eliot; Leverett vs. Winthrop; Adams vs. Dudley; Lowell vs. Dunster
