BRITISH BARRISTER TO SPEAK ON LAW TONIGHT

Lord Wright of Durley Will Present Lecture Series on Common Law; Guest of Lowell House

Lord Wright of Durley, Lord of Appeal in Ordinary and one of the most active figures in the development of recent English Law, will deliver four free public lectures on the Common Law at the Law School tonight, Wednesday, Friday, and next Monday, it was announced today.

The subjects of Lord Wright's lectures are:

1. "Contract and Public Policy;" 2, "The English Gold Clause Cases;" 3, "Strict Liability and Culpa;" and 4, "Damages and Tort."

Lord Wright is now a member of the House of Lords, the highest legal tribunal of England. He was formerly Master of the Rolls and before becoming a Law Lord was a Judge of the High Court of Justice, King's Bench Division. He has been chairman of the Committee on Law Revision and has been the author of numerous articles on current English law. The English peer was educated at Trinity College, Cambridge, and holds honorary LL.D.'s from the Universities of Birmingham and London.
