FRESHMEN FROM CALIFORNIA GATHER BEFORE COMING EAST

Out in California they believe in hitting Cambridge as one tribe, on the principle that 14 Freshmen banded together can cope with Harvard better than 14 alone.

Such, at least, is the enterprising idea of James W. D. Seymour '17, president of the Harvard Club of Los Angeles, and Peter Macgowan '42, son of the Broadway and Hollywood producer, Kenneth Macgowan '11;

They have collected the names of all men planning to enter Harvard this full from California and are holding a get-acquainted celebration before departing for the East. Included in the list are two National scholars.
