Further extension of President Conant's plan of National Scholarship was announced yesterday with additional grants to five of the original holders of 1934 for further graduate study.
John L. Dampeer '38, of Cleveland Heights, Ohio, and Lowell House, heads the list of seniors who have been honored by the University. He has also been awarded a Henry Fellowship to study at Oxford University next winter and will resume study here under the new graduate fellowship plan in 1939.
Robert C. Jones '38, of Toledo, Ohio, and Winthrop House, plans to study Physics in the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences on his scholarship grant, while Gordon M. Messing '38, of Indianapolis, Indiana, and Eliot House will work at the Sorbonne in Paris before returning to Cambridge.
Paul R. Vogt '38, of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and Adams House, and A. Judson Wells, Jr. '38, or Highland Park, Illinois, and 25 Sacramento Street, complete the list of National Scholars who have had their awards continued.
