GLEE CLUB TO PERFORM BEFORE WIDENER TONIGHT

NO ADMISSION CHARGE IN FIRST PUBLIC CONCERT OF YEAR

Widener Library steps will be the scene of the first of three outdoor evening concerts by the Harvard Glee Club tonight at 7 o'clock.

In this concert, the Glee Club will be directed during the first half of the program by Edward L. Barnes '38, of Chicago; and during the second half by George W. Phillips '39, of New York. Conductor of the group is G. Wallace Woodworth '24, of the Music Department.

The program will be: Harvard Hymn, by Paine; Student Songs of the Seventeenth Century, by Schein; Supplicationes, Palestrina; Psaume 121, by Milhaud; Gently Johnny, English Folk Song; Tarantella, by Randall Thompson; Men of Harlech, Welsh Folk Song; Libeslieder, by Brahms; Canon; O Du Eselhafter Martin, by Mozart; Choruses from the Yeoman of the Guard, Sullivan.

This concert and the other two in the series are open to the public without charge. The remaining concerts will be given Tuesday evenings May 17 and 24.
