The University Theatre, which causes this department a good many sleepless nights, has gone erratic again. Every year, it seems, they circulate questionnaires listing seventy-five great films and find out what Greater Harvard Square thinks of them. They got back 600 ballots this year, and are consequently holding three review days in a row, although they rather suspect some people voted twice.

Today's program is nicely balanced, with Paul Muni's admirable interpretation of "The Story of Louis Pastcur" offset by Claudett Colbert and Melvyn Douglas in "She Married Her Boss." Tomorrow, however, they are abandoning the old name of "review day" in favor of "Romance Day," bringing to the screen Stokowski in "100 Men and a Girl" and Garbo in "Anna Karenina." This idylic couple, last heard from on the Isle of Capri, got widely diverging reactions from the local public. The big Swede left Harvard hearts cold, but the stoical Stokowski received such an overwhelming Radcliffe vote that the Deanna Durbin musical came in by a landslide. On Friday Mr. Deeds and Theodora go their ways, with Gary Cooper, Jean Arthur, Irene Dunne, and Melvyn Douglas making this one of the funniest bills to come to the University in many months.
