HARVARD, RADCLIFFE GOSSIP OVER CUPS IN PBH TEA PARTY

Hundreds of Yardling and Radcliffe freshmen milled about in Phillips Brooks House yesterday afternoon at a tea sponsored by P. B. H. It is reported to be the first time in history that any college organization has attempted to bring the two together.

Students of the colleges tagged themselves with their names, and informal introductions soon divided the assemblage into groups which exchanged the news of the day, as they, sipped their tea and munched their crackers.

A few other Yardlings who thought they would just drop in reconoitered, "looking the situation over" before they dared venture upon any rash introductions. However, there were times when it was impossible for late comers to enter into certain conversational groups which were gathered about a more attractive Radcliffe freshman.

Tea was served from 4:30 to 5:30 o'clock, poured by the patronesses. They were Miss Mildred F. Sherman, Mrs. Olive H. Smith, Mrs. Delmar Leighton, and Mrs. Henry Chauncey, P.B.H. officials labeled the occasion a success.
