PETITION TO STOP ELECTIONS FOR '41 WILL GO TO COUNCIL.

With 125 signatures on the petition, the Freshmen who are trying to end their class election scheduled for next month will present the document to the Student Council, its sponsors said last night.

Although they have not by any means covered the Yard, they feel that sufficient signatures have been gained to convince the Council that strong sentiment for abolition exists in the class.

As an indication of the comment aroused by the proposed change, a new solution, election by a preferential system, of voting, was suggested by John F. Ambrose '41, in a letter to The CRIMSON, who feels that only in this way could the man who is "first choice" win the election.
