Felix Frankfurter, Byrne Professor of Administrative Law, will deliver three public lectures on "The Court and Mr. Justice Holmes," on April 11, 18 and 25, in connection with the program to promote the "extra-curricular" study of American history and civilization among students and the general public, it was revealed yesterday.
The lectures will be given at 8 o'clock in the New Lecture Hall at Harvard and will be broadcast over the non-commercial short wave station W1XAL.
This is one of a number of series of public lectures on American history and civilization given in connection with the issuance last year of a comprehensive American history reading list compiled by Faculty members.
The University has distributed more than 5,000 of these reading lists, of which 3,600 went to the general public and the remainder to students. Examinations based on the reading list are given annually for students, in competition for the William H. Bliss Prize of $100.
