The Crime

To Stanford, the University of California, U.C.L.A., and the University of Southern California the name of Harvard is a symbol of smugness. And to Dartmouth--which appears to their Cambridge brothers in study as a formidable part of the one-third of our nation which is "ill-clad, ill-fed, ill-housed"--Harvard represents the high horse of stuffiness.

So . . . the other day in the Law School an amiable, green - coated, green - buttoned, green - shoed 1L knocked on the door of the room opposite his. It was opened by Harvard '38. "Hi," said Dartmouth, "my name is Horace Hanover, but you can call me Hank."

"Hello," replied Harvard, "my name is P. Pidgeon Parsons, and you can call me Mr. Parsons." And he closed the door with dignity.
