Four lectures will be given on Great Authors on successive Wednesday afternoons at 4:30 o'clock in Emerson D during the last half of February and the first half of March.
The lectures are planned primarily for students of the University and of Radcliffe College who are concentrating in ancient and modern literature, and are intended to furnish some guide and suggestion for private study. No tickets are required for admission.
The lectures will be broadcast over the shortwave station WIXAL, a non-commercial station in Boston.
On February 16 Carl N. Jackson '98, professor of Greek and Latin, will lecture on "Homer."
On February 23 Edward K. Rand '94, Pope Professor of Latin, will speak on "Horace."
John D.N. Bush, professor of English, will lecture on "Milton" on March 2.
Louis Cons, professor of French Literature, will lecture on March 9 on "Molicre."
