Harvard will get a ringside view of a real, live Communist tomorrow at 2 o'clock, when Earl Browder, 1936 candidate for President, will speak in the New Lecture Hall. His topic will be "The Real Ismen in Spain."
Arthur N. Holcombe '06, professor of Government, will preside at the gathering, which is sponsored by the John Reed Society. A dinner in Kirkland House will be given for Browder before the speech.
During the war Browder served a term in jail for his opposition to America's entry. In the 1920's he was active in the Chinese Communist movement. He is now a member of the executive committee of the Third International and General Secretary of the Communist party.
