Lassiter 2L Will Head P.B.H. Law Committee Next Season

Former Yale Football Captain Leads Progressive Policies

Appointment of Robert Lassiter, Jr. 2L to head the Law School Committee of the Phillips Brooks House for the coming season was revealed by authorities of the Social Service center yesterday. The move was decided upon by Coleman Burke 3L, this year's chairman, whose task it was to choose his successor.

Lassiter, who comes from Charlotte, North Carolina, graduated from Yale in 1934 and was captain of the football team in his senior year. The 19-6 defeat which the Crimson imposed upon the Eli eleven of that year was Harvard's last victory over the Blue.

Functions of Committee

Activities of the P.B.H. law organization include the arranging for Langdell lecturers during the year, the management of a loan library of 500 books, and, recently, the promotion of a plan for better athletic facilities for the graduate student. While nothing has yet been done officially about this move there has been widespread interest among the students in the Law School.

Although no schedule has been laid forth for the coming year, the new chairman declared that the committee will sponsor more dances, one during the football season, and at least one or two in the latter part of the winter session.
