Dunster House will bid cheery farewell to departing students at its annual holiday dance tonight. Patrons and patronesses will include Mrs. Oliver Andrews, Mr. and Mrs. George W. Bailey, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Calkins, Dr. and Mrs. Joel A. Goldthwait, Mr. and Mrs. C. Nichols Green, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph L. Gustin, Mr. and Mrs. Frank P. Scofield, Dean and Mrs. Williard L. Sperry, Dr. and Mrs. Richard P. Strong, and Mr. and Mrs. Delano Wight.
"The Handsome Housemaid"
Evergreen and holly will fill the dinning hall where the Funster dramatic talent will present "The Handsome Housemaid; or, Piety in Pattens." The cast, as announced by Robert G. Noyes, assistant professor of English and director of the play will include: Robert S. Clements '40; Grocker Wight '38; Julian Lazrus '40; and Ralph L. Gustin, Jr. '40. Also a chorus including James F. Gerrity, 2d, '39, Joe W. Gerrity, Jr., '38, William V. McDermott, Jr., '38, Francis W. Scofield '40, Friedrich W. Stolper, tutor in Economics, Reginald T. Wheeler, Jr., '38; Robert H. Chase '38 and Michael Linenthal '37. The prologue will be by Robert W. Anderson '39. Arthur Schuh '38 is stage manager for the production.
Formal dancing from 10 to 2:30 will follow the play with music by Frank McGinley's orchestra. The dance committee, headed by Charles Reder '38, also includes Robert W. Bean '39, Edward G. Dreyfus '40, Philip P. Finn '39, Paul M. Hickox '38, Edward F. Logan '39, and Nirman R. Willian '38.
