H.S.U. Holds Mock Congress To Discuss Wages and Hours

Connery Bill Subject of Open Forum in Emerson Tonight

While Congress sits in special session in Washington tonight, the Student Union will sponsor an open "Congress" in Emerson 211 to discuss the Connery Wages and Hours Bill, one of the key points of President Roosevelt's legislative program.

The committee in charge, as appointed by Louis LeF. Sutro '38, president of the Student Union, includes: Lyman B. Burbank '38, Harold Van B. Cleveland '38, Hugh Dean '37, Hamilton Q. Dearborn '39, and William A. Kirstein '38.

Contacting 594 men in the History, Government, and Economics departments in the hope of drawing a large crowd, the committee has mimeographed relevant parts of the Bill to facilitate discussion. The Congress will debate and amend the Bill during its session.

In an attempt to remedy the defeats of last year's "Constitutional Convention," the discussion will be confined to one evening and one specific measure, it was announced last night.
