THE MAIL

To the Editor of the Crimson:

As one of the Freshmen who attended the Harvard Monthly's Rum Punch last Thursday afternoon, I feel that your editorial on the subject was quite absurd.

Certainly, there was no compulsion to drink the punch, and the refusal to do so did not seem to cause a candidate to lose caste in the eyes of the editorial board.

It should be obvious that something more pot-cut and more pleasant than rather bitter orange juice will be necessary to drive the Freshmen to drink. Yours very truly,   James Clark, '41
