Plans are under consideration for continuation of international shortwave radio broadcasts of classroom lectures, following a successful experiment with such educational programs last year, it was announced yesterday.

This year's broadcasts will be carried by the non-commercial Boston station W1XAL, endowed by private donations and the Rockefeller Foundation for cultural programs. Beginning early last spring, W1XAL transmitted fifteen lectures direct from the classrooms, as well as University church services, outdoor concerts, and commencement features.

The series last year presented outstanding faculty members in the fields of English, Economics, Government, History, Greek, Italian, German, Astronomy, and Fine Arts.

Anticipating a future expansion of the broadcasting activities, the University equipped Sanders Theatre, New Lecture Hall, the Memorial Church, Emerson Hall (Room D), Jefferson Laboratory Lecture Room, and Paine Hall of the Music Building, with permanent radio equipment.
