SKI INSURANCE

Appearing for the first time in America, insurance policies issued on skis were sold in New England during the Christmas vacation. Favored by icy conditions the agents did a rushing business.

The policies insure against breakage, fire from any cause, including lightning, theft, and hazards of transportation. The policy goes on to say that it "does not insure against infidelity of persons to whom the skis may be loaned," a sad commentary on the morals of skiers.
