FRESHMEN WIN 6-5 BY EIGHTH INNING RALLY

Pinch Single, Double Steal, and Two Run Squeeze Play Enables '39 Nine to Gain Close Victory

Pinch-hitter Paul Counihan's single in the last of the eighth and a double steal set the stage for Dick Grondahl's perfect double squeeze play which scored two runs and gave the Freshman baseball team a 6-5 win over Lawrence Academy yesterday on Soldiers Field.

Today the Freshmen travel to Providence where they will engage the Providence College nine, a team which trimmd the Harvard Yearlings last year.
