5 CHOSEN FROM 16 NOMINEES FOR '37 CLASS BOOK BOARD

Committee Was Formerly Elected in Fall of Senior Year; Change Made to Increase Speed

Five Juniors were chosen from among the 16 nominees for the Class Album Board of 1937 in the election held in various College buildings yesterday. Those elected and their respective polls of votes were: C. Colmery Gibson  192 Neil G. Melone  188 Leavitt S. White  162 Arnett McKennan  102 Alfred C. Butterfield  101

Next. ranking were Charles M. Storey, Jr. with 93 votes, and Peter H. Knapp with 91 votes.

Will Choose Chairman

The five members of the Board will elect from among their number a Chairman.

The sixteen candidates were selected by the Class Album Committee, consisting of James B. Hallett, chairman, Walter H. Page, II and William H. Schmidt.

In former years the election of the Class Album Board was not held until the fall of the Senior year, but the change was made last year in order to facilitate the early publishing of the book.

The 1936 Class Album has been headed by Deric Nusbaum '36, and is nearing completion.

Activities

Gibson, who won the Ames Scholarship last fall, is on the Undergraduate Tercentenary Committee as well as an editor of the CRIMSON.

Melone is at present chairman of the Eliot House Committee, has won several important awards for scholarship in his three years here, and is also an editor of the CRIMSON.
