Although Princeton's highly touted rugby fifteen rushed into an early lead in the first three minutes of the game Saturday at Soldier's Field, the Crimson booters succeeded in tying and passing the Tigers in the first half to win, 6-3.
Alan Simpson 1G, erstwhile Oxford Greyhound player, secured the margin of victory for Harvard when he made a try before half time on a pass from Peter Knapp. There was no scoring in the second half.
The Crimson Jayvees were beaten by the Tiger seconds in the opener, 8-0.
