Clinching the lead position in the Intercollegiate League, the Varsity Squash Team A defeated Yale in New Haven on Saturday by capturing seven matches to two for the Blue. The Crimson Freshmen made it a clean sweep by defeating the Yale Yearlings four to one.
Continuing his winning streak, Germain G. Glidden '36 defeated Captain Buell Hollister of Yale in straight sets in the number one match. In two position, Richard Gilder '36 also won his match in straight sets against Davie.
Emerging victorious in the most gruelling match of the day, Alvah W. Sulloway '38 played a brilliant game to defeat Holmes in five sets. The outcome was in doubt until the very last game which was won by the Crimson representative 17-16.
Every one of the Freshman matches went to extra games. Playing in number one position, George B. Blake, coming from behind to defeat Dilworth, was outstanding for the Crimson.
