Twenty-two needy children of Cambridge were given a Christmas party sponsored by the Freshman Committee of the Phillips Brooks House yesterday at 3:30 o'clock.
Several parents of the children also gathered in the parlor of the House to watch a program of entertainment that was arranged by James M. Mixter '40, Harold C. Palmer '40, and Peter E. Pratt '40.
This entertainment consisted of several songs, various games, and piano and banjo playing by several members of the Instrumental Club. The Massachusetts General Hospital lent the Committee a lust pig for a magician's act. Following this, refreshments of ice cream and cake were served.
At the close of the party, clothing collected by the Committee in their recent canvass of the Yard dormitories was distributed to the children.
